Martin DE-RM Retro Plus

Product information "Martin DE-RM Retro Plus"

May I introduce: Martin Guitars brand new old friend. The Martin DE Retro Plus Mahogany is the real deal - a genuine Martin that's not your grandfather's guitar, but may one day be your grandchild's. Inspired by our legendary flagship 18 Series models, this acoustic dreadnought guitar combines powerful tone and iconic design with state-of-the-art craftsmanship. The torrefied solid spruce top has been thermally aged to improve resonance and produce a beautifully seasoned sound that delivers the rich, broken-in tone of a vintage instrument from the first strum. This premium feature, long reserved for our Authentic and Modern Deluxe series, is now available for the first time in the Road series. Combined with solid mahogany back and sides, a scalloped spruce X bracing, a Performing Artist neck and an ebony fingerboard and bridge, this guitar has everything you could want from an acoustic guitar. It's even stage-ready with Martin E1 electronics, which include a built-in tuner and controls for the perfect live sound. This guitar is ideal as a workhorse for gigs or as an introduction to the world of premium acoustic guitars. It offers first-class quality at an unbeatable price for serious players and will inspire anyone who picks it up for a lifetime. But be warned: you won't be able to put it down - because nothing compares to a Martin.

About Martin

The company C.F. Martin & Co., or simply Martin Guitars, can look back on a long company tradition and several innovative inventions. Chief among these is the development of the dreadnought shape and thus the steel‑string acoustic guitar as we know it today. With this, the family business, which spans over 175 years, has shaped the music world to this day. Innovations introduced by Martin that became standard in guitar making also include guitars with 14 frets clear of the body as well as X‑bracing. This allows greater stability and load-bearing capacity of the top (soundboard) thanks to strips glued to the inside of the top. To this day Martin guitars are renowned for their high quality and, of course, for their tone, and are very popular among guitarists. You can find a wide selection with us in the shop or in our branches ready to play. In our Martin Premium steel‑string acoustic guitars section you'll also find a selection of the finest acoustic guitar models from all Martin series.

The name of the US company Martin Guitars, actually C.F. Martin & Co., Inc., has stood for the highest quality and innovation in the construction of stringed instruments since 1833. When people think of Martin they immediately think of the acoustic guitar, since the company founder and German emigrant Christian Friedrich Martin gave the instruments the form we still know and appreciate today. Among the company's inventions are the special bracing (X‑bracing), the neck join at the 14th fret and popular body shapes such as the dreadnought guitar.

In our range you'll find, alongside classics such as the D-, OM-, J- and 000‑models, also Custom Shop and signature models by renowned artists like Ed Sheeran, Eric Clapton and John Mayer. We also carry the popular Martin Backpacker Steel and the Little Martin.

In addition we of course stock a wide range of accessories, including the very popular strings from Martin. Our staff look forward to your visit and are happy to provide you with detailed advice.
