For the first time a KORG entertainer flagship is available in three keyboard versions. All keyboards feature aftertouch, and the 88-key model also has hammer action for the best piano feel. Unique to the Pa5X/Pa5X MUSIKANT are two completely independent players that can now play Styles, MIDI files and MP3 files in any combination! This makes it possible to mix two Styles or even play them synchronised. New in this context is the "Smooth Sound Transition" function, which ensures that no notes or effects are cut off when switching or crossfading.
The KORG Pa5X/Pa5X MUSIKANT, with its completely newly developed sound engine and operating concept, features a user interface that is easier and better to use:
logical colour codes, large displays and buttons, photo-quality icons, clear graphics, thousands of inspiring sounds and vibrant Styles for almost every musical genre. Acoustic and electric pianos come from the KORG SV2 stage piano, and synth sounds originate from the NAUTILUS, wavestate, ARP2600, for example. A dedicated round-robin function provides ultra-authentic and lively drum sounds.
The Pa5X MUSIKANT is the localised version of the Pa5X (international) for the German-speaking market and Benelux. It contains even more Styles and sounds programmed and produced specifically for the local cultural area: acapella and party choirs, accordion and orchestra sounds and much more. In addition, operation is made easier by German-language labels on the panel and in many menus.
The Pa5X keyboards are high-quality, with an elegant look; wooden side panels nestle against a robust aluminium chassis. Real-time control is made very easy by the additional strip display, since the current value or function of switches and faders is always shown directly. Loading times are a thing of the past — all files and Styles are available at the touch of a finger, no matter which connected medium they are stored on. An open memory structure allows virtually unlimited user folders, letting you store as much as the optional SD card of up to 1TB allows. That makes compiling data from different users child’s play.
A powerful mixer with built-in Finalizer brings all Styles and files to the same volume level. A large chord-sequence library invites jamming, and the tilting 8-inch touch display in tablet quality shows all chords, lyrics and even (MIDI file) notation in high resolution.
In addition to the microphone input (combo jack), there is now a separate guitar input with its own gain; up to four guitar effects can be stored as presets and recalled per title in the SongBook. A four-voice harmonizer is also on board, along with a modern AutoPitch function. Service feature: an externally screwed joystick for easy replacement in case of damage.

The Pa5X operating system update to version 1.3.1 for Pa5X, Pa5X MUSIKANT and Pa5X ORIENTAL includes several new functions as well as important bug fixes and detail improvements.
Main features at a glance:
- Revised SongBook management: It is now possible to use different sounds within a track, even for different style elements. The sound selection is no longer fixed by saving the SongBook entry.
- Optimised audio routing for insert effects: Fix for an issue where insert effects used on different style tracks were routed to different outputs. With the new OS 1.3.1 the signal routing follows the audio settings.
- Expanded character compatibility & improved displays: Character compatibility for displaying song lyrics has been expanded. In addition, the display of texts and chords on external HDMI monitors has been revised.
