The new LP-6 2nd Wave 6.5" nearfield studio monitor is part of Kali's 2nd Wave loudspeaker series. The "2nd Wave" models, i.e. the new edition, are based on 3 years of research and development. A new amplifier module brings 12 dB less inherent noise with a 3 dB higher input sensitivity (XLR/6.3 mm jack: +4 dBu; RCA: -10 dBV). The refined tuning ensures a more neutral behaviour in the high frequencies and the innovative boundary EQs have been updated for further application possibilities in practice. The preset for positioning the monitors on desktop stands is new here. In addition, the transducer cones are lighter for optimised transient response and the cabinet design has been redesigned for greater reliability. The crossover frequency is 1.3 kHz. As with its predecessor, the LP-6 2nd Wave offers impressive features such as 3D imaging waveguide technology for large, imaginary stereo stages, bass drivers with oversized magnets and a sophisticated bass reflex system and is suitable for pretty much any genre.
