What is green and has been on countless pedalboards? No, not Kermit the Frog, but the legendary green overdrive pedal from Japan. With the Plumes, Earthquaker Devices has introduced their interpretation of this classic. The circuit has been fundamentally revised - instead of the usual JRC 4558 OP amps work in the Plumes JFET OP amps that guarantee low noise and a significantly expanded headroom. Also the buffered bypass of the prototype is replaced by a Relay Soft Touch True Bypass. There are 3 clipping modes available: asymetrical clipping - classic crunch overdrive, mode 2 - clean boost and mode 3 - symetrical clipping delivers classic TS sound. The footswitch can also be configured from Momentary button - the effect is active only when the button is held down.
