The Catalinbread Topanga emulates the legendary Fender 6G15 spring reverb unit, which is quasi the mother of surf sounds and the soundtracks from all spaghetti westerns. Part of the magic of this Hall device was the fact that it was first in the chain which caused the Hall signal to slightly distort and make the Reverb sound more intensive. This effect is not so easy to reproduce, but Catlinbread has actually managed with an additional preamp!
