The brand‑new Touchstone series from Bourgeois Guitars features Tops made from high‑quality Alaskan Sitka spruce and bracings of Adirondack spruce, which were harvested from Dana Bourgeois's own woodlot and hand‑selected by his team in Lewiston, Maine. The back and sides are crafted from carefully selected Indian rosewood and are assembled by a small group of talented luthiers, all carefully trained in Dana Bourgeois's time‑honoured construction techniques. Every step is carried out by hand to highlight the beauty and tonal complexity of the D Vintage Touchstone.

Dana Bourgeois founded Bourgeois Guitars in 1992 after he developed a passion for learning about and building high-quality guitars while studying at Bowdoin College in Maine. He built his own guitars in the early 1970s and opened a small shop in Maine in 1977, where he worked as a luthier and repairer.
