The Hi-X60 are professional, closed-back, circumaural headphones from Austrian Audio, manufactured in Austria. The Hi-X6 headphone series from Austrian Audio began with the extremely precise, open Hi-X65 and is now being expanded with the Hi-X60 as a closed version. With similar, linear sound characteristics, it is particularly suitable for mixing, mastering and recording in the studio and, thanks to its high passive noise cancellation, also for loud environments such as FOHs.
Its rated power handling capacity is 150 mW. The distortion factor (THD) in the standard measuring range of 1kHz is less than 0.1 %, resulting in a fabulously clear and clean sound - even at low frequencies!
The 44mm Hi-X driver delivers lively transients, a linear frequency response and reveals every tonal nuance. The Hi-X60 is sturdily built to survive daily use: all moving and load-bearing parts are made of metal.
Thanks to the headphones' low impedance, they can be used with pretty much any end device. This and the interchangeability of the connection cable, headband and ear pads and the fact that the Hi-X60 has a foldable design make it a flexible workhorse.
