Sheeran by Lowden

Since an instrument is personal to both the player and the instrument maker, the guitar has a way of bringing the two together, with sometimes surprising results.

As a small, family-run business, George Lowden has enjoyed personal friendships with those who play his guitars, and listened to their feedback to advance his designs.

When Ed Gary Lightbody (front man of the Irish band Snow Patrol) said he wanted a Lowden guitar, Gary gave him his own original Lowden - an authentic 2012 Bushmills® with which Ed wrote five songs for his number one album "X" (Multiply).

Gary asked George if he would build a guitar for him to give to Ed as a gift. George designed a unique little guitar for Ed, which later became a new model of Lowden guitar - 'The Wee Lowden'.

The friendship between George and Ed continued to develop from their shared dream of giving young, aspiring players access to a quality guitar and helping them learn, progress and make music.

It was from here that Sheeran von Lowden was born.
