The Martin X series offer real Martin sound for the smaller budget guitarists. The X-Series guitars combine a solid Sitka spruce top with HPL (High Pressure Laminate, a laminate of wood and plastic in real wood look). The necks are made from Rust Birch laminates (resilient birch laminate). The result is solid built guitars with amazing classic martin sound.
