1010music Blackbox

Record, edit and sequence using an intuitive touchscreen interface.

The blackbox from 1010music is a compact and portable desktop sampler with which sequences, samples and effects can be recorded, edited and saved. As a result, the blackbox can be used as a groovebox and is also ideal as a player for backings and atmos.

Sequences and samples can be easily recorded using the touchscreen, the virtual keyboard or with external MIDI controllers and then edited in the sample editor and piano roll editor. Sequences can be played and linked to create song sections and entire compositions. The blackbox has three separate, configurable stereo outputs, so that even more complex output routings can be implemented. In addition to two integrated effects, the blackbox has a mixer section with volume, pan and mute functions and is very easy to use.

External MIDI controllers (Class Compliant) can be connected via the USB host mode to play the samples chromatically and 4-fold polyphonically and to trigger slices or sequences live. Music can be recorded and played back for hours by streaming from the microSD card.
Samples can be looped, played as one-shot or as slices. The blackbox also synchronizes loops of different tempos with each other.
