Wild Customs Wild‑TV
The electric guitars from the Wild‑TV series are among the most popular models from the French guitar atelier Wild Customs. This is certainly down to the fact that each instrument is made only from the finest materials and 100% built in France. Wild Customs performs every production step by hand, from design and construction, through finishing and wiring, to the final setup work.
The solid‑body design in American swamp ash of the Wild‑TV series is inspired by the iconic Telecaster® guitar shape. Swamp ash is a very lightweight tonewood that offers a lovely balance between brightness and warmth. As with the Telecaster, the maple neck is bolt‑on. This construction gives the strings their characteristic pop and attack, often referred to and cherished by enthusiasts as "twang". The 25 1/2" scale length — found on the Stratocaster® and Telecaster® as well as many other instruments — is popular with its 648 mm, 21 frets and the 9.5" fretboard radius.
Contributing to the aforementioned "twangy sound", besides the bolt‑on neck, are the hand‑wound Hepcat TV‑55 pickups made in France.
The elaborate finishes and relic treatments with their varying degrees of paint wear deserve special attention. As you can see at first glance, the Wild‑TV series shows a great deal of love for detail in its appearance.
