The Boss FDR-1 effects pedal is based on the Fender 1965-era Deluxe Reverb, a much-desired valve amp known for natural touch response and distinctive snappy overdriven sound. In conjunction with Fender, BOSS designed the FDR-1 stompbox to re-create that specific classic tone. Features of the Boss FDR-1 include the same controls found on the original Fender Deluxe Reverb: Level, Gain, Treble, Bass, Vibrato and Reverb. The FDR-1 pedal also works as a pre-gain guitar pedal in front of an already overdriven amp to add the tone character of the Deluxe Reverb. Introduced in 1963, the Fender Deluxe Reverb valve amp was used in recording sessions and performances through out the early years of rock and roll, from surf, blues, country, jazz to hard rock. The 1965 Deluxe Reveb was special, known for clean and crisp tones with a lustrous overdrive sound. The Boss FDR-1 allows you to enjoy that vintage Fender tone simply by connecting the FDR-1 pedal to your usual amp. Just get a Boss FDR-1, and youve got some of the most heralded tones in guitar history going into your amp.
