The Zoom B2 bass guitar effects pedal uses Zooms new ZFX-3 processor with 32-Bit internal processing, 96kHz sampling rate, 24-Bit A/D, D/A converters, 120 dB S/N ratio and -100 dB noise floor, pro audio specification in a stompbox. Optimized for bass guitar, the Zoom B2 comes with nine effects modules with 47 effects types, 13 amp and stomp box model simulations, an ultra-wide frequency response of 20Hz-40kHz, a built-in drum machine with 40 rhythm patterns, and an integrated chromatic tuner with a calibration range of 435-445 Hz with mute tuning. Other effects in the Zoom B2 include a 6-band linear EQ or two-and parametric EQ, a full fledged bass synthesizer with a choice of three waveform settings, and two types of filtering. The Zoom B2 offers the fastest patch change of any guitar or bass effects pedal we know of, 8 ms. The fundamental frequencies of an electric bass guitar range from 40 to 600Hz, but harmonics extend up beyond 20kHz. Many conventional pedal effects make the low end sound thin and lifeless. This usually is not only because of poor frequency resonse in the bass frequencies, but also because the high frequncy harmonics are not handled properly. The Zoom B2 bass guitar mulit-effects pedal solves that problem as it is specifically designed for bass guitars frequency ranges. The 24-bit resolution and 96 kHz sampling frequency of the Zoom B2 bass multi-effects pedals signal processing power is equal to the best rack-mount effects processors. The dynamic, wide-range bass signal retains its full impact, and the result is clear, powerful sound that remains a distinct presence also when playing in a band. The heart of the Zoom B2 multi-effect pedal is its processor and Digital converters. The Zoom B2 features Zooms newly developed ZFX-3 chip with 32-bit architecture for outstanding accuracy and smooth and detailed signal processing. Fine nuances of fingering and touch come through without any signal deterioration. Sophisticated bass amplifier modelling allows adjustment of parameters such as speaker cabinet characteristics and low-range response in three levels to provide the dynamic high-impact bass sound of a large bass cab even with flat-response speakers. Handy when using headphones or studio monitors, or when playing through a small combo amp or other bass amp with low output power. Alternatively, turn the bass cabinet effect off and use only the characteristics of the bass amplifier head. Create your very own bass amp sound and get it whenever and wherever you want, even when using a series of different bass amplifiers on stage.
