The guitars mahogany body produces a strong sound with a mellow, round midrange. The Maritime SWS also features a solid pressure tested spruce top, set mahogany neck, chrome hardware, and an Indian rosewood bridge and fretboard. The guitars high-gloss finish provides excellent protection but at the same time is extremely light and elastic. This is crucial to both the sound of the guitar and its ability to age, a thick finish muffles a guitars vibration and blocks aging. A strong midrange response make it suitable for performing and recording. The lively midrange in this guitar will also appeal to fingerstyle players. The guitar also features the Godin Quantum I onboard electronics. The Godin EPM Q1 Quantum acoustic guitar system is simple in design and outstanding in performance. A single source system features an exceptionally responsive saddle transducer carefully matched to side mount electronics with rotary volume, bass, and treble controls. The electronics and controls are packaged in a small and easy to use format complemented with a finely crafted pewter cover plate. In combination with the transducer, the EQ control range and frequency content have been specifically contoured to provide a very rich and full sound reproduction resulting in performance seen only in far more complex systems.
